Who am I?

I would like to take a few minutes to tell you about me.

I have been in child care for most of my life. I started out babysitting and
was a mother's helper for several years in New York as a teen.
After my  daughter, Corinne, was born I chose to be a stay at home mom.  I became active
 with the public school system as a volunteer. I was a Daisy Leader, Brownie
troop leader and a Cheerleader coach. After my son, Anthony, came along I started
watching the neighborhood kids before and after school which lead to full time babysitting.

        When Anthony was ready for Preschool I decided I was ready for something  
       more too. I took a position as a Teacher Assistant with a church preschool in Tarpon Springs FL. After almost nine years with the church I needed a
full time position. I had a small stop over in a center for about six months in a Palm Harbor center while I waited for my last school to open. In August of 1998
I started my position with a franchised preschool in the Dunedin area.  

My first grandchild was born in Oct 2001. I searched the internet to find a  nickname for Grandma, of course I felt Granny was far to old a name for me!! I found that the Italian version was Nonnie and I immediately liked it. That is how I became "Nonnie"!

          In 2000 I met my husband Dave. We married in August of 2002. Dave has been with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office for over 23 years. Dave and I talked
a long time about starting our own center.Then in July of 2006 the school that
was here prior to us was closed down. It did not look like the previous
owner would be able to re-open. We took a chance, put in our bid and waited
 it out. When we thought the chances were slim to none our offer was accepted.


We signed the papers in October 2006 and the renovations begun. Dave and I worked
very hard with the help of our family, Cori,Keith, Anthoony,Sara & Joey.  Dave's Mom and Dad even put in numerous weekends as well as did our friend Linda and her son Sean.

In 2010 while talking to Pastor Jerry from the Kirk of Dunedin we realized that we needed to merge together and quickly started planning. After the renovations were done and all the permits were passed on Feb 14, 2012 we finally moved into the new building!

that have been made.
